Hilltop Log & Timber Homes Annual Log Raising and Home Planning Event takes place the third Saturday each June. Hilltop’s Annual Event is scheduled for Saturday, June 21, 2008 from 9:00am through 3:30pm. This all-day free event includes:

Construction Demonstrations of actual log and hybrid post & beam homes;
Live Custom Drafting Demonstrations;
Home Planning Seminars;
Custom Design & Drafting Seminars;
An Energy Efficient “Green” Choice Seminar
Model home tours;
Lunch;
Games and…
Raffles for various prizes including a GRAND prize of 100 gallons of home heating oil!!

The day is packed with information to aid attendees in the process of planning their dream home. Construction of Hillltop’s Structural Insulated Panel (SIPs) home is demonstrated live. The energy efficient walls (R-25) allow for flexibility in exterior siding choices from log profile to cedar shakes or clapboard. Likewise, interiors may be finished in drywall, wood or any other material the client desires.
Principal Hilltop Builders construct a small log home structure while 6th Annual Log Raising attendees observe. Hilltop’s exclusive Triple Seal system is demonstrated through each course of log assembly.
Hilltop Log & Timber Homes 6th Annual Log Raising attendees join an educational home planning seminar that identifies choices in construction methods and style.

Contestants prepare for Hilltop’s Log-Hog Challenge—a battle of the sexes where women drill in and remove log-hog screws while men hammer in nails to see who can finish first! Congratulations to our winning lady volunteer!

Window and door bucks are placed as courses of logs continue to be built around them.
Hilltop Log & Timber Homes 6th Annual Log Raising treated its guests to burgers, hot dogs, barbequed chicken, chips, fruit, donuts, coffee and cold drinks.

Attendees gathered at tables, relaxing and while flipping through floor plan books and awaiting the next seminar presentation.
